Watershed Management

The organisation has undertaken watershed development projects in Thummachenupalli, Vankamaddivaripalli and Valsareddigaripalli villages in Chinnagottigallu Mandal; Bodireddigaripalli village in Pulicherla Mandal; and Mellacheruvu in Piler Mandal of Chittoor District, with an aim to –

• Improving agriculture productivity and Improving vegetative cover
• Increasing fodder and fuel availability
• Reducing soil erosion, runoff and nutrient loss
• Improve water availability at surface and ground
• Increasing household income
• Enhancing quality of life and increasing household income
• Local institutional development through community based organizations
