Thrift and Credit Program for women through Self-Help Groups:

RASS- MahilaPragathi, is aimed at poverty eradication through social and economic empowerment of poor and marginalized women by organizing them into effective Self Help Groups (SHGs). The experience of RASS with SHG Program is 26 years old and fairly intensive.

The focus of the project is in: Thrift and credit, skill building, livelihood options financial services along with non-financial interventions such as Health Camps, Eye Screening, Blood Donation, Devotional Activities and National celebrations.

It is prudent to mention that the RASS’s “Thrift and Credit’ Program is one of the few institutions rendering such services that has got certified and granted credit worthy ratings over the years by institutions of repute such as M-Cril, CRISIL, CARE & ICRA.

With the success of the concept of Women Self Help Groups (SHGs) the organization has initiated in formation of similar SHGs with the following categories of people to cater their financial and self-reliant needs and skill development.
